APC40 not showing track progress when channel changes

I have a track ready to play and I can see the waveform for example on Audio Channel 1

I also have a track already playing on Audio Channel 2 for example.

Sometimes when I select a different channel (For example Audio Channel 2) on the APC to see how long it has left or where a break is, the waveform disappears and I have to reselect it using the mousepad on the Mac.

Any ideas what I need to do so it appears all the time no matter what track I select on the APC40?
