how to add swing to melodic sequence

when i just turn the swing knob, nothing happens.

i guess i need to get a "swing clip" into the sequencer somehow?

What you need to do is turn the swing knob to the amount of swing you want, and then press the "Quantise" button on the left of the push. This will then add the swing. If you don't like it and need less or more swing, simply turn the swing knob to a new value and hit the "Quantise" button again. This also applies to drum racks with Push
