a friend of mine has just got a controller, but it only has Midi on it,
is it possible to convert the midi connection to USB? and if so will live recognise it?
he is using an Apple Powerbook and using the coreaudio so has no midi in.
would any drivers for the midi device need to be installed on the MAC to be able to use it via USB?
also will he notice any latency?
thanks
converting Midi to USB, PLEASE HELP

your friend needs to buy a midi-usb adaptor.James Talk wrote:a friend of mine has just got a controller, but it only has Midi on it,

Have I misunderstood your question?
This is all he NEEDS, but there are better alternatives out there with MIDI thru...
