converting Midi to USB, PLEASE HELP

Post by James Talk » Fri May 27, 2005 6:24 pm

a friend of mine has just got a controller, but it only has Midi on it,

is it possible to convert the midi connection to USB? and if so will live recognise it?

he is using an Apple Powerbook and using the coreaudio so has no midi in.

would any drivers for the midi device need to be installed on the MAC to be able to use it via USB?

also will he notice any latency?

thanks

your friend needs to buy a midi-usb adaptor.
Have I misunderstood your question?

15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.
