So I've been spending most of my time creating drum racks to use for live performance with push and I stumbled upon something I find pretty neat.
I take a loop and slice to midi (after selecting the warp markers) usually trying to gather 8, 16, or 24 slices (Something that works musically) I then add a "Random" midi device to the newly created rack which will now affect the way the slices get played. I move chance to 100% and change choices to *however many* slices have been created. Here is the catch, by selecting *ALT* mode instead of *RND* I can now use one pad to play a loop through in sections (as long as "choices" is set to the proper number) this is great for piano riffs, guitar parts, bells or anything melodic really.
the issue I'm having is that as this works great as a standalone rack, the moment I try to add it to one of my existing racks (to make it playable within the rack) something goes wrong. it's as if the samples get lost somewhere in the process of trying to embed the created rack into my existing soundpack.
