Edit - new suggestion:
Double-clicking one of the left menu options ("sounds", "drums", etc.) could clear the text field.
Let's say I CTRL+F "eq", add EQ, and now I want to add a plug-in. I could just double-click "Plug-ins", and the search field would be cleared, and all the plug-ins visible.
Old suggestion:
I think the browser search field should be automatically cleared once I click outside the browser, or at least there could be an option for this behaviour.
Here's the scenario:
1. CTRL+F -> "eq"
2. Downwards arrow -> enter
3. Do other stuff
4. Open browser to find something (browsing/discovering)
5. Confused because only matches with "eq" are displayed
6. Having to clear search field feels unnecessary.

Re: Clear browser search field after clicking outside browser
+1
Maybe even automatically hiding browser once user clicks elsewhere in the GUI (outside the browser).

I don't agree with the last. Just look at the amount of people who complain because audio preview stops when you click elsewhere. You may have lots of reasons to click elsewhere while browsing. But if you have done a search and found something, that's usually the end of the search...

Re: Clear browser search field after clicking outside browser
^ Good point. I've found an acceptable (but not 100% optimal) working solution for now:
1. CTRL+F
2. Backspace
Not too much of a hassle, but it could be more elegant, like this:
Double-clicking one of the left menu options ("sounds", "drums", etc.) could clear the text field.
Let's say I repeat the EQ search above, and now I want to add a plug-in. I could just double-click "Plug-ins", and the search field would be cleared, and all the plug-ins visible. Single-clicking would still keep things the way they are now, so everyone wins.
