Sequencing Novation's DrumStation

Post by Spinny » Thu Jun 02, 2005 2:17 pm

Hello,

I just bough a Novation DrumStation (808/909 rack emulator) and I would like to sequence it using Live 4. I tried Impulse and found great that in the sequencer you get the samples names on the left and also that the fold button hides notes that don't trigger anything. Do you know if there is a way of doing the same in the sequencer for my DrumStation, I want to have the names on the left (ex: 909 BD, 808 BD...) and only the notes that I want. Do you know if this is possible? Do you know onother way of doing it? Know of any plug-in step sequencer working with live that does that?

Thanks!

no, there's no way to name the sounds in live. The samples show up because it's a native plugin (or something) and the integration is a lot better that way, iirc.

But there's a great map of the sounds already in your manual - page 47/49
They seem hardwired, it's only matter of time before you know just where to drop the notes, right?
