My laptop has become unbearably slow recently. I'd like to reformat but I don't want to mess up my live sets. I'm aware of the 'collect all & save' function but I've got hundreds of projects, it will take forever to process all of them.
If I reinstall all my samples and sets into the exact same file path as before my sets should be intact right? What about VST settings?

Live will ask where most things are when you install. Copy where you saved projects so you don't erase them. My Window system crashed to where it didn't boot. I reinstalled Windows 7 without a reformat. The old OS was named to Windows.old. I could grab anything from it. Your drive is not erased. There's probably no reason to reformat of you are using Windows.
