Push: Automation on recorded notes and chords in Note Mode

I think it would be really nice to be able to do something similar to the note and chord automation options in the melody sequencer, in something that looks like the standard note mode. The problem I run into with the step sequencer is that my notes or chords may be all over many different octaves when I switch to the melodic sequencer mode after recording in the note mode. It would be nice to have some kind of mode that looked like the note mode, but would allow you to hold down a recorded note, or chord, and perform the automation options that are available in the melodic sequencer mode. It would just make the workflow faster as opposed to having to scroll through a lot of octaves, and then find the correct page with the notes, or chords, you want to spice up.

Also!!! Better 3rd party vst support with Push would be great too.
