Launch tempo synced with song tempo for continous controller

Hi,

So I have a bunch of clips that launch tempos. I also have a continuous controller on my Kaos Pad mapped to the song tempo. I can adjust the master tempo no problem with the continuous controller, but when I launch a new clip (and thus a new tempo), the continuous controller stayed locked with the previous master tempo. Therefore, when I try to adjust the NEW tempo from the newly launched clip, it jumps like a million BPM to where it left off (i.e. the initial master tempo that i started with). Does anyone know how to fix this? It would be great if my newly launched tempos were locked/synced to the master tempo. It appears as if they are, but my controller jumps, so I know they are not...

What controller do you use? If you can do a relative method it wouldn't jump.

There is also the setting in midi preferences that determines how midi handles those situations (takeover mode). Personally though, I usually keep it to immediate.
