i have two questions that are similar but both sorta difficult.
1) i'd love to be able to duplicate tracks without duplicating their track content (pro tools used to give you this options when you dup s track it had check boxes for 5 criteria - one being track content). i don't believe ableton has this functionality (if it does plz tell me how much of an idiot i am) and its one of the many things i'd love to see in version 10 I guess..
2) i'd also love to be able to do the reverse. delete every track that doesn't have content on it. When producing i find my experimentation phase leaves a lot of unused tracks that don't make it into the instrumentation of the final tracks. its a pain hunting down each track one by one by zooming out and compressing the height of the tracks to ascertain with tracks are not contributing to the track. i'd love one button that deletes all tracks with no data.
if these can be built into ableton than great. if the developers have no intention of that can max4live be of use?
