Live 5 is ridiculous

Post by StompyJ » Sat Jun 18, 2005 8:15 pm

The live clips is a GREAT solution for all that cue point stuff that was being discussed before.

The browser feature is going to be a life-saver.

I'm already formulating new strategies on how I can use this stuff!

Yeah! I noticed that too :-D

-edit- check the live5 tutorial docs, it explains the livepack format.

Really smart idea imo

$Page New $0 Pack Format

The $0 5 /library/ is broken down into several /$0 Packs,/ which can be separately downloaded, installed and uninstalled. A /$0 Pack/ is a single file (much like a ZIP file) that expands into many files upon installation.

/$0 Packs/ are available from installation CDs or online from $Link Ableton <http://www.ableton.com>.

To install a downloaded /$0 Pack,/ drag the file into $0 or simply double-click it.

To view a list of all installed /$0 Packs,/ open the Preferences' Products tab. You can select individual /$0 Packs/ from the list and click the /Uninstall button/ to remove all files that came with a /$0 Pack./

Note that you can also remove, rename, alter and add to the individual files that come with /$0 Packs/ at will, thereby making someone else's library your own.
