I'm going to be performing the electronics part of a chamber music piece (Ayre by Osvaldo Golijov) next month and one movement calls for a multi-tap delay capable of 4 seconds of delay time. obviously none of the ableton delays can deliver. the composer specified SC Delay 4 for PC users but had no suggestions for mac. Can anyone recommend a comparable max4live patch that could do the job.
I'm running ableton 9 suite on OS X 10.9.5
Thanks for any help!!
4 second delay
Re: 4 second delay
Does the BPM of your set matter? If not you could just set the BPM to 60 and use a simple delay set to the highest value.
Or chain 16 simple delays with the dry wet set to 100, and the time set to 250.
Of course those are silly workarounds. It would be easy to make a delay that was set to 4000 ms in M4L though.
I don't know of any ready made patches however.

Re: 4 second delay
Thanks for the info! Turns out the Pluggo -> tapped delay patch has an internal tempo option so I think I'll do basically what you said without having to mess with the master tempo.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: 4 second delay
Nice! I forgot about those pluggo devices
Good find - and good luck with the performance!
