Audio quality cutting out on recordings

Post by jhm1138 » Thu Feb 19, 2015 2:38 am

Hi guys, I have been using ableton to record my electric guitar over some beats that I made and the audio quality is just absolutely horrible when I play it back! I have tried everything that I can think of and have no idea what is going on. It sounds like it is gurgling and cutting out...just sounds like a horrible quality mp3 really. I have adjusted my buffer and I am recording at 44100 @ 24 bits. I am running an RME babyface and my CPU meter never goes over 14%, also the Hard Disk Meter never goes off. I really don't know what to do. I have my track literally stripped down to a kick drum and snare with a live guitar being recorded overtop so there isn't much going on. Just a Single EQ on the drums. Is anyone else experiencing this?

When I record the same exact thing in Logic it works perfectly fine using all of the same exact gear. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Turn off warping for the guitar clip, is it better now?

This might help you with other things to watch out for in Live that can affect your audio quality:
