My setup:
- Maschine MK2 Firm. V26
Software 1.8 (currently not using on my production workflow)
Ableton 9.1
MASCHINE Controller Driver 2.7.0
Controller Editor 1.7.4
Macbook Air 2014
OS X Yosemite
Macbook Pro 2012
OS X Mountain Lion
- while in MIDI controller mode with the NI factory Ableton 9 template, I cannot get the 'Scale/Octave/BaseN' knobs to work- these knob mappings are located on the 'Knob settings' page which is Knobs page 8 and I have the pads on Note/Drum mode which is accessed by the 'Pad Mode' button
they seem to only send data to only scroll upwards not downwards over the various settings (weird) so it will go thu the various scales (ionian, Blues, etc...) but if I pass one I can't scroll back to it... same for the octaves and the baseN knob these are the four buttons under the right LCD
for sure I know these knobs work hardware wise because I tested them on a friends Traktor Pro for effects Dry/wet and I use them on my DJ sets with serato DJ for the SP6 bank volumes
also I loaded the same template on my old Macbook Pro 2012 running Mountain Lion and all the same software as listed above and still behaved the exact same way
- is this just a known bug of the factory template?
if so- is there a workaround?
inside Ableton live how does one go about mapping these functions, and what are the parameters I have to assign in controller editor to the knobs?
if I press the MIDI mapping button on Ableton I see two arrows (<- and ->) above the piano roll are these the octave up down
the rest of the template seems to work fine... I don't use Ableton in session view but I did load it up with samples and all of the triggering, mute, solo, launch clip, and other mapped functions of the template seem to work as they are supposed to... and I f I make a rack and open the macro section I can map all 8 knobs on Maschine to the Ableton macros and they behave the correct way IE (right to increase parameter - left to decrease parameter)
