Slice audio in samples in Ableton Live Intro

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and I am sure this question has been asked before. Coulodnt find a thread though.

I bought Ableton Live Intro and would like to slie a recorded guitar track into separate samples to trigger them in Simpler or so.

All tutorials I watched tell me I can only do this with the Standard version and up. Is that true or is there a work around in Intro as well?

If not is it worth buying the upgrade to standard?

Yes, Slicing to MIDI feature is only available in Live Standard or higher.
