Roland Vdrums latency

Anyone experience some pads having recording latency and other pads not?

The drums on my Roland TD-1K kits are fine but the HiHat and cymbals are experiencing recording latency. I'm using one of the Instrument drum kits inside Ableton; not using any external kits.

My experience is that for the application you're describing, USB midi and audio interfaces have too much latency, so I'd start with a pci interface and take it from there. With the correct settings, you'll achieve very low latency with great playability.
