Simpler default preset slicing to drum rack?

Post by aspen1135 » Fri Aug 14, 2015 10:05 pm

I've made a simpler device called "Sample Glitcher" that have been macro'd with an audio effects rack that I've saved as an .adg

Normally, you can save these under default presets in your ableton library for easy access. I've done this for some sample cutting presets for full length tracks. But when I go to a selected sample in the browser, right click a one shot and go to 'slice new sample to midi track' and select warp marker + "Sample Glitcher" (My preset), it will slice it to a new drum rack without my macro's appearing anywhere, even though they still appear to be mapped somewhere which is inaccessible (They do not appear on the individual drum cell either).

I've tried troubleshooting this, seeing if 'slicing' to a new midi track is soley limited to drum racks or maybe a single device without utilizing an effects rack. But some of the stock ableton default presets such as "sampler - pitch pong rack" open up with some macro's working on a drum rack. This tells me that audio effect racks and should work be compatible as a default preset in a .adg file. But still does not answer the question if you can slice to midi only as a sampler/simpler device within an audio effects rack.

What I'm trying to accomplish here, is being able to either:

A: Double click a sample within the sample browser and have it load it automatically onto the pre-made preset on a new midi track (Rather than open as a new clip on the clip-list of an audio track)

B: Right click a sample within the sample browser, slice to new midi track. Be able to select my "Sample Glitcher" preset (its a simpler with some macros on a rack) and load it as a plain device but NOT on a drum rack. The reason being when its on a drum rack, you cannot use a midi keyboard to easily scale the pitch or use glide which is a big approach/concept to using this preset.

If anyone can help me on this it'd go much appreciated. I feel like I'm super close but I can't get it to work :(
