Push improving creation and workflow or is just a nice tool?

Post by Hannyman » Wed Sep 16, 2015 3:27 pm

Hello, I'm new in music world and I really like Ableton and from photos, I like Push too, seems like a nice instrument but the question is, this device is improving studio work? You can do more with Push that you can't do with a Midi keyboard, lets say Akai MPK 225?
I have some pads on Akai, I can control Ableton a bit, have some presets, can preset more from Ableton.

I need Push or I have enough, my actual Midi controller Akai MKP 225? I don't perform live or anything, just make simple songs and beats in bedroom studio (still learning Ableton)
Does Push really worth buying, in my case? Thanks for responses 8)

Push is designed to improve the composition stage, IMHO it will be an improvement over your MPK somethings that I think are great on Push:

- Drum sequencing
- Loading sounds to drum rack
- Loading ableton FX and instruments from push.
- Controlling track volume and sends.

And well all simple but usefull operations that can be done from push: adding tracks, duplicate scenes and clips, deleting devices, etc.
