El capitan No MIDI Oxygen 8 MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch)

After upgrading to EL Capitan
ALL working except

NO Midi on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) Live 9.2.2 64 BIT
I updated the JAVA runtimes
Mobile setup: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2018) ,Live Suite 10.1.6 64 BIT,512 GB SSD ,8GB RAM ,OSX 10.11 El Capitan,Oxygen 8

Studio Setup :Mac Studio M1, ,Sonama,Novation SL49 MK11,UAD Apollo Twin Thunderbolt

Oxygen 88?

What do you mean "updated the JAVA runtimes"? What version exactly? Why do you think that's related to MIDI issues? It's not.

Did you read up about drivers for your Oxygen? That's important to look for.

I've heard El Capitan has some issues.

Question is is this an Ableton, Apple, or Maudio problem.

Does the controller work with GarageBand or Reaper?

I'm always willing to blame M-Audio as I feel they make crap (sorry), but Apple especially are keen to not dwell very long on analysis concerning how things will work out for developers and their customers when they decide to make "improvements". I don't think this is a Live issue, but it could be of course. That's one reason to have another DAW demo installed so you can compare.
