Import Scene with name

Post by Federgast » Sat Oct 24, 2015 1:59 pm

Hi,
When I import scene from a project to another one, the scene with a name of the imported project missing the name and every scene become a number.
Could it be possible to add the future to import with the name of every scene?
This is important when you want to get the focus on parts as intro, verse, chorus, bridge... also the Time. Especially when you are making a session live with more projects inside

thanks

There's a Max4Live plugin that can help with this...called Clip to Scene, part of the Modular series by Isotonik Studios. It will rename scenes based on the clip names so all you have to do is have a set of guide clips or something with the names you want, and then importing between projects and renaming scenes is one click.

Maybe you know about this and want it built into Ableton...or maybe you don't have Max4Live...anyway, just letting you know. :)

Thank you for your answer. I'll have a look to it. It could be interesting
Anyway in my opinion is a missing feature of Live DAW, because import projects is a fantastic option, but something like name of scene is only a helpful option to work better especially when you have to prepare a live performance :)

In Ableton Live 10, to import scene names you must drag the .als file into the scene column at the position you want to insert, the scenes, but the track layout of your import must exactly match the track layout of your current project. Otherwise it will not work.
