excuse my bad English!
I use ableton with a notebbook (acer travelmate 2700-pentium 4 3 gbs 512 mb-ram) and a card audio external professional.
in ableton use a channel for the voice (+ fx) and another for the songs in wav format (40/50mb).
when ableton reads the file wav they are felt micro interruptions and also lifting the latency (1, 2 seconds!!!) the problem remains!!!
there are particular settings on ableton to resolve the problem?
