External Sync Button (EXT), can it be remote controlled?

Hi everybody!
Since the "External Sync" Button cannot be Midi Mapped, i am wondering if there is another way to remote control this Button.
I am asking, because I would like to Map the External Sync Button to my Foot Controller.
