Some things that can avoid daily annoyance in terms of usability:
Clips and scenes:
- in Audio Clips: multiple choice of warp markers, in order to move them as a group
- rename multiple clips and scenes at once via multiple choice
- make more common clip properties editable via multiple choice
APC40 mkII (and similar Control Interfaces maybe):
- disable/delete predefined controller assignments without the need for new assignments
- After assignment of MIDI or Macro knobs the "clip frame" jumps to the top of the session view, to the first scenes. Keep the frame in place.
Tracks:
- recording in audio tracks (arrangement view): separate undo-option for overdubbed takes (e.g. in looped sections)
- track routings (I/O) via drag & drop, maybe indicated through cables/lines
Rendering process:
- At the end of a rendering process avoid the lingering sound to be played out loud. It's really shocking every time and makes me spill coffee all over my equipment
- accept a loop selection as a render selection (not only selected arrangement sections)
BTW Im on Ableton Suite 9.5 on Windows 8.1 64bit.
Sorry for suggestions that may have been given before by other users. I hope at least some of them can be implemented in future versions. Thanks in advance!
