Ok so I'm trying to use a bus track with dummy clips to do some global fx modulations, and I just discovered that I can't see clip colors on an audio track when monitor is set to in...
I find this behavior really annoying. I'd like to be able to color them in groups so I know which clips will default back to which and easily see the different groupings of clips corresponding to different fx while performing live. I'm going to have something like 26 clips per each macro knob...so color mapping would really help...looking at a wash of grey or white is not really what I would consider ideal.
I see that when I switch monitor to auto/off it'll show the clip colors...but I can't get the audio from the other tracks through the track that way, even when armed...am I missing something? I tried routing the audio from other tracks into the bus track using their "Audio To" section...didn't work. Tried routing the audio to a "dummy bus" then pulling that into the actual bus containing my clips using the "Audio From" section of the bus track...nope. Anyone know how to setup a bus track and still be able to assign colors to the clips for heat mapping/etc? (without using max, preferably)

I am interested in this also. I am trying to activate clips but keep audio flowing through the channel. I would like to be able to still visually see the clips.

I too would find this useful. Maybe it could be an Options.txt thing?
Code: Select all
-KeepClipColorWhileTrackMonitorIn
