How to copy only a single line of automation.

Post by aspen1135 » Wed Mar 16, 2016 12:44 am

How would I copy only a single line of automation off of a single track with multiple channels of automation open? Whenever I highlight and ctrl + alt + c, it grabs all the lines of automation which is extremely frusterating. I have complicated automation and glitch stuff I'm trying to pull off here and moving automation around and redrawing all the time is like pulling teeth. I love everything about ableton except for its automation lines D:

Did you read the post? Whenver i have multiple segments of automation open and in view, it'll copy all the automation instead of just one perimeter's automation. I've noticed weird characteristics for group bus automation as well.. FL studio seems to handle automation lanes way better and can easily do this stuff. But I like Ableton's overall 'plug in play' live workflow a lot better for me. Frustrating that ableton still only gets things half right :/

if you select the area directly on the clip itself, it will select all the track's lanes.
instead, try selecting the desired automation area directly in its own unfolded automation lane.
