strange things afoot when attempting to slice audio to midi

Post by gif_silver » Thu Apr 14, 2016 12:23 pm

hey guys i would love it if you could shed some light on this topic for me
i've been watching the macprovideo bill burgess slice audio to midi tutorial, and after he selects "slice to new midi track" he then selects "transient" and then he pushes the "slicing preset" button, whereupon a massive drop-down menu appears.
the thing is: my live 9 suite doesn't have the massive choice in the drop-down menu - it just has 11 sampler presets and 2 built-ins. i tried to take a screen shot to show you, but it isn't possible using today's technology so i'll tell you which ones they are per hand:
Built-in
Built-in o-vel
Sampler-Beat offset
Sampler-Carbonized Rack
Sampler-Carbonized
Sampler-Decomposer
Sampler-High electrolyzer
Sampler-Low electrolyzer
Sampler-Pitch pong rack
Sampler-Reverse
Sampler-Robot
Sampler-Scrunch
Sampler-Short
and finally
Sampler-Tones and Tribes

and that's it!
Bill Burgess has something like a billion more - is that right...? or is it the same in everyone else's live and bill's is an anomaly...?
please let me know yhop. i am very puzzled.
