You may ask, why flat user interface is required. That's because currently high resolution monitors like 1080p and 4k are widely used. Now Ableton GUI contains a lot of different colors, so it isn't optimized for widescreens.
You'll say, just change the skin of program. No it's not so simple - currently Live skins are not flat. I haven't found any flat skin for Ableton, which suited my workflow.
GUI is important part of program, because you spend a lot of time using that program and proper GUI significantly increases productivity.
One more suggestion. Menus below title bar, such as File, help, etc should be visible while being in fullscreen. I don't know about macs, coding and OS design is a bit different in Windows and Mac OS. For example, Bitwig has menu bar integrated in one GUI, it's not using the default Windows or Mac OS title bar UI.
