Audio effect rack Macro.. Not responding to float value!

Hi,

I'm using Live 9.6 and now trying to control the Pitch parameter of Grain Delay with Effect Rack Macro control.

Right-click the Pitch column and assign to, say, Macro 1... Yes it's correctly assigned and Pitch parameter reacts to the knob position of the Effect Rack.

However, I'm having difficulty controlling the Pitch parameter in float point number (eg 1.37 instead of 1) as the change in Macro control only seem to emit integer values to the Pitch parameter, turning up the Macro knob from 1 to 2 doesn't emit any decimal values in between and jumps from 1 to 2.

How do I set the Macro so that the Pitch parameter can receive decimal values? Do I need Max4Live patch to do this?

Thanks for you input. At first I thought so, but not with Grain Delay for some reason. Assigning the Pitch parameter to macro, and set the Macro control range to between -1 and 1 only gives -1, 0 and 1, which are just integers. No decimal values in between.

UPDATE

Got an answer from Ableton support team, and basically it's impossible for Macro to transmit decimal values, hence I'd need a max4live device below to enable the pitch parameter to receive decimal values.
