Push 2 populating screen with vst parameters questions

Post by stalker_on » Sat Jul 30, 2016 10:27 am

Hello,

Some questions about auto-population of vst parameters on the Push 2...

1. For example, if I have a vst instrument, and configure it by enabling host automation and having slider parameters appear in live in the device of the vst, does Push 2 detect them automatically by banks of 8, in the order they appear in the Live device list?

2. If not, mapping those automation sliders of the vst to macro knobs of a live group, will Push 2 detect those macro knobs instead?

3. If I have a group inside a group, so two sets of 8 macro knobs, will Push 2 detect all of them if I switch device using the navigation keys, or how will this work?

4. If I have a M4L device like 16 macros from the Covert Operators, will Push 2 be able to detect the 16 knobs and let me navigate between sets of 8 using the navigation keys? What if I have two 16 macros devices side by side in a chain, will I be able to access all those knobs using Push 2, how and in what order?

Could someone please test out some of those situations above and get back with some answers...

Thanks

Could some push owners / ableton people look into this please?

I can't test it without owning Push 2 ...

1.- yes, when you configure a plug in in device view the parameters are shown in Push in the same order.

2.- it also shows macros.

3.- It can also show a second level macros.

4.- it will show the macros but for some Reason Push won't show the name of the parameters using M4L macro devices.
