Hi all,
I use the icon g-board footswitch to control the looper (start, stop, play etc.). Everything works fine but I found no way to control the reverse button correctly.
I can assign it without problems, but the midi control doesnt work well. When I open the midi control assign window on the left side in ableton, the reverse button is not just a on/off button but a button with different values. I can change the minimum and maximum values from 0 to 127, this is very strange because the other buttons (start, stop, play, delete etc.) are simple on/off buttons. It seems that the reverse button is seen as dial encoder and not as a button.
I tried to set the minimum to 0 an maximum to 127 but that doesnt work. It sets the reverse button active but not inactive. I tried different settings but without any satisfying result.
Any help or suggestion how to control the reverse button with my footswitch?

Re: Looper and footswitch
i have barely used Looper, but playing around with it, i can't see why the Reverse button maps to a range of values. maybe ask Ableton support?
Re: Looper and footswitch
Yeah, I also think that Ableton should change that
it doesnt make sense at all
Re: Looper and footswitch
Are they all mapped to notes or all to cc?
Some buttons do have 0-127 options so that you can choose precisely when they turn off or on....actually I think that is usually in macros when they give you that option.

Re: Looper and footswitch
The ableton support had the right solution for me. I had to change the footpedals message to toggle with the help of the pedal software. now the reverse button turns on and off with single press.
I absolutly hadn't thought of that
