Post by NoSonic822 » Wed Aug 31, 2016 12:45 pm

I know you can delete all the notes in a drumrack pad by holding delete and tapping the pad. BUt what about in an instrument rack....you want to delete all the notes in a clip....but not delete the clip....i know you can delete the clip, by holding delete and tapping the clip in session view....but what about deleting all the notes in the clip

ok i am seeing now there was an update done a while ago i think, you can delete multuple notes inside a clip by holding delete and then pressing any pad that is playing those notes.

so basically, if you want to delete all the notes, just hold delete, then smack all the pads with your palm down until they are all gone.

Yeah, I wish there was a better way to delete notes from a clip. The problem with mashing the pads with the delete held down is that if you're doing this on a drumrack, they will delete the actually samples out of the drum rack.

I think it's best to get into the habit of deleting the clip and using 'fixed length' to quickly make a new clip.

Yeah! This is a basic default feature in Maschine. I am deeply disappointed that this is not available in Live. I am disappointed repeatedly at how inferior Push/Ableton is for live clip creation.

Talking of, is it possible to duplicate a single midi note in a clip in the midi view?

Clicking “duplicate” with a note highlighted duplicates the whole scene, not the note.

Hold your note in the sequencer, press Duplicate, press the sequencer pad where you want to copy the note.

Ah I was more talking about editing midi notes on screen (you know - moving them, changing size, pitch, velocity etc). I can delete the notes in that screen by highlighting and pressing delete. Wish I could do the same with duplicate - and not have to come out and find the note (and duplicate it) in the sequencer
