arrangement / insert silence bug

wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and/or if there's a work-around. in arrangement mode, when inserting a few bars of silence to all tracks, to extend the overall length, or ie) to be able to double the length of a particular section, sometimes phrases of audio that follow are often cut down in length to just a fraction of the original length. the passages don't disappear completely, but for example something that might be 8 bars in length could be reduced to just the first bar or beat, and all audio afterwards in each passage disappears. if you aren't careful, you might not notice this, and if you do a save, you could ruin your track! this is in version 2.01 on mac OS 9.22. any advice appreciated, thanks!
