External Effect Routing w/ Scarlett 6i6

Post by ThirdPerson » Mon Feb 06, 2017 2:14 am

Does anyone have any experience using the External Audio Effect device with a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 as your audio interface? I just can't seem to get the routing correct, resulting in a whole lot of distortion and frustration. This is in large part due to Scarlett's counterintuitive Mix Control software, but I can't figure this out for the life of me.

First of all, what do you want to route? S/PDif or analogue? I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, and struggeled too. You have to remind that what are called sends in Live are caled DAW in Focusrite terms. So if you use say output 3/4 for a stereo send, Focusrite names this DAW 3/4 in the routing software. Using S/PDif is even more confusing, but eventually done the same manner.

There are Youtube movies explaining the routing software of Focusrite, and I must say if you get a grip of it, it is very powerfull!

Succes!!!
