All around question regarding track.

Hey guys

Wanted to ask you guys something about this track. Wanted to know what happens in this chorus generally regarding compression, sidechain compression, sounds etc.

Using this track as a reference and want to get that same vibe that this songs chorus has. What stands out to get that feel. It sounds heavy compressed etc.

My amateur opinion is that the instruments and vocals are each given good placement in the frequency spectrum and are well-mixed. I'm assuming that there is a fair bit of compression on the whole mix, but it didn't sound overly compressed...

However, the kick drum is heavily compressed and I'm sure it was done stylistically. The rest of the mix sounds too good for it to be an accident.

I don't know if that was even helpful, but that's all I've got.
