Closing a single plugin with keyboard shortcut (Esc?)

Hi guys, hope everyone is well

I am aware of the Ctrl+Cmd+P shortcut, but this opens and closes all plugin windows for the current track. What I'm after is simply a way to close the current open plugin.

Using the ESC key works in some plugins, but not others.

Am I missing something?

Have you figured it out by now?

I have the same question. Esc seems to work but not necessarily on the plugin window that was last used. And more importantly, it makes a loud sound on MacOS, so it's not actually an option.
