Find another program....
Sorry, but Live does not have the ability to create mp3 files.
I use Tracktion. You can download Tracktion 5 for free at their website.

You export to Wav or AIFF then convert those lossless formats to lossy formats as MP3. I use XLD or Sbooth Max for any MP3 encoding. Always LAME if I can get away with that.berba123 wrote:Hi guys

When you go to File>Export Audio/Video, it is an option in the window that pops up. What I don't see is how to edit the id3 tag nor how to change the quality of the exported mp3. The Quality Defaults to 320.

Yes the feature to write to an MP3 was added into Live in the years after this thread started.gunjaBeans wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 3:54 amWhen you go to File>Export Audio/Video, it is an option in the window that pops up. It is not designed to be a full MP3 authoring feature tho so does not have the ID3 metadata editor, just an easy way to encode a file so you can throw it on your phone or whatever quickly. There is no option for bitrate output as it is assumed you want the best quality MP3 can offer so it is just set to that.
If you need a different bitrate or to edit ID3 tags, just export to WAV and then use another program such as iTunes or MP3Tag to edit the details and convert to a different format.
