Move all channel's track volume down with automation

Post by cumcd » Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:29 pm

Hey,

Is there a way to move every channels track volume down at the same time, when they have automation on them? (you know, slider-arrow is red in session-view)

I've mixed everything too high compared to one synth, so I wanna turn everything down except that synth, so I don't have to make it way too loud and distorting. Got plenty of headroom. I use automation a lot, so would be neat if there was a way to do this.

If you don't have automated the faders you can simply select all tracks, but the one you don't want touched, and lower the fader on either one of these and the rest will follow relatively.
This is a strong reason why it's a good idea to not use volume automation on the faders. Use Utility instead or a third party product like FreeG that goes to Inf.

Another option in this particular case would be to route all tracks but the synth to a buss (an audio track set to monitor "In") and lower the volume there.
Make some music!
