AKAI APC keys 25...MIDI edit?

Post by soundklinik 33 » Thu Apr 27, 2017 2:32 pm

I have PUSH 2 with my tower PC....All good there.

For my laptop...
I got AKAI APC 25. (Coming in two days)...so not exactly here
I searched the net and to my surprise there is no midi editor??? What kind of a midi controller is that?
Is it possible to MIDI LEARN (assign pots and buttons) to other software like Reaktor?

For Ableton I think I will buy the NativeKONTROL script
http://www.nativekontrol.com/Arsenal_APK.html

But for the rest? Does anyone own the APC 25?

If you want more than just keys, Launchkey Mini by Novation, maybe?.

Personally, I love the Keith McMillen K-Board (but it only has keys) - you cannot find a more compact and portable keyboard than this.

Actually I found second hand Akai APC 25 that I bought....seems configured for Ableton.

But for anything else?

good question. it really feels like there's no editor anywhere. i hope some 3rd party has made one and i can modify, but i really need to be able to change what these buttons do, cos otherwise it feels confusing. (i have an akai midimix and there seems to be some overlap, but i don't want there to be overlap!
i really really don't.

wow. they really shipped something that can't be changed because Control Surface is a magic word. well, it ain't.
