Can Ableton do this?

I have one midi keyboard that I want to play Instrument racks with. I want to save the racks as song names so I can easily recall when building a new set. This I know how to do, but....

I also want to send some of the Instruments within an instrument rack to a common return effect like reverb, comp etc..

Example:

On my first instrument rack(song) I need to send only my piano to a common reverb return.
Next instrument rack(song) maybe I need to send a lead to common delay return etc..

NB! I know I can out up an audio channel and listen to a certain instrument within a rack, but then it wont be commong, but specific for just this instrument rack.

I believe I tried something like this. I made an empty audio channel like you say, and named it Reverb. I can send this channel to the effect return channel.

But I need to specify from which instrument rack and the specific instrument I want to listen to. Then it wont be common channel, but just for this specific send inside this one instrument rack.

But OK, so what you're saying is that I need to make audio channel like this for every send I need to do? ...in every instrument rack? And then I control the effect return channel that every send goes to with fader?

I see you're using a Drum rack, there you have sends on all the group channels. But with Instrument rack you only have send on the main channel. I need to use this audio channel to be able to send only from a specific instrument withing the group.

I'm not able to test now, but is it possible to group this audio channel into the instrument rack?
Then it will follow the instrument rack and follow it when I pull it up at a later stage...

You can do a send & return setup all within an instrument rack if you wish using the sidechain comp method. All of my Instrument racks have a self contained send / return setup for each individual song. I can send any chain to the internal return.
