How can I quantize Back To Arrangement?

Post by infinitystairs » Sat Jun 17, 2017 2:05 pm

I spend most of my time in Arrangement, but I like to go to Session for more improvisational sections. I'll then fire a cue point in Arrangement to go back to the song, but it is a pain to then have to hit Back To Arrangement at the exact right time.

Is there a way to cause the Back To Arrangement button to fire in a quantized way, similar to global Launch Quantization?

Maybe ClyphX can do this by assigning Back To Arrangement to an Arrangement Cue point?

Maybe there is a way to do it with Python in a Midi Remote Script?

It should be quite easy with m4l.
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1

I got it working with ClyphX and a cue point trigger in Arrangement view. Only problem is there is a slight delay before B2A fires, and it skips the first kick drum beat when going back to the Arrangement.
