Can I use Novation X-Station as MIDI controller with Live 9?

Can I use Novation X-Station as MIDI controller with Live 9?

I'm using older mac 10.5.8 OS with Live 9.1.1. Live will recognize & support X-Station as audio interface but does not show it as an option for use as MIDI controller. Any way I can make this work?
