Hi,
I've created a pretty straightforward Operator patch and it's glitching my machine out! It's pushing my CPU from 4% to 45% when playing a 4 note chord.
I've always found Operator to be relatively undemanding; have I got something strange going on or is this something that can happen? 1st time I've ever had this.
Thanks,
Adam
CPU Hungry Operator Patch - 44% CPU!?
Re: CPU Hungry Operator Patch - 44% CPU!?
Noticed its's the filter that's killing it.
OSR with some drive. Switch the filter off . . . it drops by 40%.
Is the filter really that demanding? I didn't realise the upgrade with the Cytomic filters was so demanding.

Let's find out if it's your patch or your plug in... Is your bit rate the same on your operator plug in and your Ableton? And then let me know f your other patches play at lower CPU levels and it's just this patch?
Thx

Yeah the new filters can be quite demanding
