MIDI-Assignable UNDO Function

Post by Omsk411 » Thu Jul 07, 2005 3:21 am

Hey, how about a MIDI-Assignable Undo? That way, when you're controlling the Live Transport from a MIDI controller, such as the M-Audio Ozonic with it's 5 transport buttons, you can undo a bad take. After all, you can start, stop, and record via MIDI, but you always have to go back to the computer keyboard or the mouse to undo a bum take.

This could be done as easily as adding an UNDO icon to the Control Bar. Then, when you enter MIDI Map Mode, you can assign a MIDI control to it (say, the Ozonic's fast-forward button), just like any of the other transport controls.

Simple, and downright efficient!

been beggin for midi mapable delete since the days of 2...recent word from Robert is that it isn't in 5 but is on the list of things to do. The delete key on your computer does what you desire, if on pc you can use bomes midi translator and midi ox/yoke, on mac its a bit trickier with midipipe and control aid....
