Akai annoys me so much, why can't they fix this. All the Akai controllers that I've tried has this problem. Was hoping this one wouldn't.

Hey, I know still is a super old message. But I found a pretty easy way to do this. You have to use Bome Midi Translator. Setup an Virtul input on BMT (virtual 1). Then set the output in Ableton preferences to BMT virtual 1. This way Ableton can send midi data to Bome. Now make a preset in Bome and add a translator. Set Capture midi on and click the button you want to assign in Ableton (example mute button on track 1). It has an on and an off state (2 different messages). So you have to make 2 translators. Receive both the note on and of messages to Bome by clicking on the button in Ableton a couple of times. Now setup the output in Bome to Midimix. You have to send midi note on messages on CH1 velocity 0 = off 1 = on. Example: note 1, velocity 1 is first button on. (90 01 01=on, 90 01 00=off).

Having LED feedback is great for toggle stuff. Track mutes but also for effects. It even sets the leds right when loading up another project if the assignments are the same. Then it gets updated when a new project loads. :D
