So, this is the deal.
I'm upgrading from my Yamaha HS5 to Adam F5 or Genelec 8020B. Will be an upgrade, right? I suppose these two will have more clarity and definition than the Yamaha
I'm looking for a monitor that will translate well to other systems. I have a small studio production that produces music for games. So no Hollywood stuff (yet).
I've heard some people saying that Genelec won't translate well to other systems because everything will sound awesome on them. I've also read people saying that these speakers are good for monitoring. But for mixing, are they good?
And about the Adam F5? Do you think they are more flattened than the Genelec 8020B?
My room will be treated! Adding a sub later is a viable option! I can't test them where I live, so I'll rely on specs and opinions!
