After way way too much searching and annoying scratching of my head, i've finally melded two hacks to the Ableton MPK control surface scripts and have a fully working instant mapping (blue hand) and relative encoder script for my MPK.
Should anyone want this, just shout and i'll make it available.
Why this wasn't setup like this as standard... well, we'll never know...
