Hi,
I stumbled across a weird issue which I have never had before.
When I have a midi note with a sustaining length of 2 bars, it always retriggers again on the second bar. It doesn't matter which instrument I use, so it seems to me that this is some midi input error.
In the clip view there is clearly only 1 note drawn out and the velocity marker at the bottom also only shows 1 mark.
The weird thing is, if the note is 4 bars long, it is still only retriggering the note on the second bar (the 3rd and 4th bar the note is sustaining like it should).
And I don't use any midi effects or whatsoever....
Does anyone has the same problem??
Thanks for your time and effort!
Unwanted retrigger of sustaining note on the second bar
Re: Unwanted retrigger of sustaining note on the second bar
I came here experiencing the same problem and looking for a solution.
For now, I stumbled across one—I am assuming this is only occurring on Live 10, which I have obviously...
The culprit could be the new "Chase MIDI Notes" function—I had this activated, and as soon as I turned it off, the unwanted re-triggering of notes atop a new bar stopped.

I had the same issue: In the middle of a long midi note playing a "new note" signal was triggered (it seems). That caused to start the note from the beginning of the envelope - which was not wanted.
I already searched 2 hours for a solution.

Just wanted to drop a line here as well.
I found out that if "Loop" was enabled within the arrangement window, even though nothing was being used there, it would retrigger my 8 bar notes every 2 bars.
Turn off the loop function near the top and it might help out. I was losing it for 2 days trying to figure this out until i decided to just work in arrangement view and went "...oh...."
