I am working in 4/4 time with a 7/4 guitar riff I play, record, and loop. It seems whenever I record into Abelton's Looper I am able to get the 7 beats I want, but when playing back it refuses to acknowledge the polymeter. Instead It will just replay the last beat twice so that it can sync its measure with the 4/4 clock. It seems to me if you allow me to quantize by a quarter note, you shouldn't force me to use whole measures.
While I hope there is a solution here I'm not optimistic, as I have been consistently running into problems and bugs with this looper plugin for years now and nothing has been fixed. Are there any looper plugins out there that are better than Ableton's? I have used Mobius but it is no longer supported as it is 32 bit only. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Re: Ableton Looper Polymeter
Setting Tempo Control to None will play as you recorded.
"Replay the last beat twice"? Are you sure it is not the input audio out-of-sync with the Looper audio?
