Delete samples

"Deleting samples from within Live moves them to the system trash".
It doesn't on my Mac (OS 9) , they disappear rather promisingly from the browser but alas they are not in the trash and they reappear when their host folder is clicked .
Is this a recognised problem ?

When you delete them it moves them to the trash and if your not carefull and empty the trash that sample dissapears frm the hrd drive?

er no , that's what I would LIKE to happen..I could trust myself to be careful if it did. It would certainly beat picking them all out by mouse which is what I do now...I wonder if it needs a particular extension to function as I've turned a lot off ?
