Live 8 on iMac - mouse super glitchy

Whether I use the magic super mouse (white wireless thing) or my Logitech mouse it's the same. Faders and knobs all respond super clunky. If I move the fader down it wants to go ALL THE WAY down. If I nudge it, it sometimes works, if I nudge up the fader/knob still goes down. So in order to go up I have to go down > down > up. Same thing with going up, if I try to go back down the first down still goes up before it finally goes down. It's virtually unusable.

I've found a very helpful video to fix the problem on Windows, but I'm on a Mac. There's one article about changing a txt file to absolute mode, but I don't seem to have that file.

Do you have a none crack version of live?

And have you checked your mouse setting on your computer, sounds like its to sensitive.

This isn't a crack version, it's a licensed copy, and I'm a little annoyed at that part too because Ableton's response is that my software is legacy and I should buy at again. Perhaps I'm getting old but the idea that expensive products lose all their value after a few years and need to be re-purchased isn't cool.

I'm running OSX Mojave.

Hi Wesley! Sadly Live 8 is not compatible with Mojave, it will only work with OSX up to version 10.9.

I totally agree with shigglyboo. Manipulating mouse functions are not acceptable at all.

They say "incompatible", but they just manipulated mouse functions. I don't know. Is this a joke?

I use Live 9 in mac, but I'm controlling mouse cursor using synergy app in windows. Then, the mouse goes crazy.

This is ridiculous. If they expect us to buy new products or push stuff we won't.

Mouse is the best convenient tool. Why would buy other things?

Maybe that's why they started something dark behind mouse functions.

All users should be aware of it.

I'm sure there's stuff glitching out in the background probably but it's been working just fine for me.
It's horseshit making people replace totally functional software. 99% of us aren't professionals.
